PROPERTY TAX, TAX SALE, ASSESSMENT INFORMATION

2023 PROPERTY TAX:
 

DUE TUESDAY OCTOBER 31ST, 2023
 

Payments Accepted at the RM office; 
Cash, Debit, Cheques, Money Order/Bank Draft, Online Banking (Access Credit Union Only), E-Transfers payments to cao@rmofarmstrong.com. We DO NOT accept Credit Cards payments.

Penalties of 1.25% will be applied on the 1st of each month on any outstanding balance starting November 1, 2023

 

Tax Sale – Property tax that are in arrears of two years will go to Tax Sale. Tax Sale Auctions are held once a year. All properties with 2021 and prior arrears, of any amount are eligible to be sold at our next Tax Sale scheduled for Wednesday November 22, 2023 @ 2:00pm.

ASSESSMENT INFORMATION

There are 2 Principal factors that determine the amount of property tax.

         1. Assessment - Market value of your property based on 2 years prior.  The assessment is determined by the Provincial Assessment Office.

         2. Mill Rate - Determined by the Municipality when the current year's budget is developed.  Questions relates to assessment on your property please contact Assessment Branch in Selkirk toll free at 1-866-262-9786 or 204-785-5092


BOARD OF REVISION (FOR ASSESSMENT APPEALS)

The 2023 Board of Revision will be held on September 7, 2023 at 10:00am at the RM of Armstrong Office.

Deadline for all appeals should be received in the office no later than August 22, 2023 by 4:30pm
